Year 1: Lake Superior 2017

Parting Ways and Continuing the Journey
with the Toronto Reunion Feb. 2018

After sharing reflections and saying goodbye, youth continued to engage and stay in touch with each other. Then, on the weekend of February 23–26, 2018, the youth came from across Canada for a reunion in Toronto. They were billeted at the homes of Toronto youth. On Saturday, they met with Rev. Stan McKay, Springwater, and other leaders to reconnect and consolidate their learnings.

The youth went up the CN Tower, where miraculously, the clouds parted such that they had a fabulous view. On Saturday night, they went to a Leaf’s hockey game. The Leafs won, and the youth were on the Jumbo Tron four times, and everyone had a great time! On Sunday, the youth were part of the Sunday Service at Bloor Street United Church, and afterwards they gathered for a farewell dinner.
